Health & Safety - Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (Reg 3: sections 3/4/5/6))

This week we are bringing you the continuation of the management regs, moving on to parts 3,4,5 & 6 of regulation 3. We cut to the chase a little quicker this week!!

This episode features a break down of the legal requirement to review risk assessments, the increased focus on employment of young people and the duty of written risk assessments based on the number of people employed.

As always the discussion reaches topics that we float on to so be prepared to hear about hamsters, professionalism, words that make us giggle and one of us having a taste of dog chocolate!!

As always, get in touch with any questions, suggestions or just to chat.

About the Podcast

Health and Safety Angels
Busting the barriers
If you just need to get to the bottom of health and safety in an easy, non jargon way then this is the podcast for you. We're busting the barriers of health and safety in the workplace, without the big words and monotone voices. We're going back to the beginning and discussing what health and safety is, why it is important and what everything actually means.
This isn't a podcast for H&S professionals but for those that need to understand H&S for their business or their role within the workplace.

In my social world, I am a mum to 2 teens and a tiny dog called Pepper. I'm a Crossfit convert, but by no means an athlete! I love lifting weights and it has done wonders fors my mental health and self-esteem - I've had my share of drama and now i'm (just) over 40, I take life a little less seriously.
In my work world, I am a freelance H&S tutor, running my own little business called Training Angel. I genuinely have a passion for delivering training to people with a laid back and relaxed vibe. Learning about H&S doesn't have to feel like school, we can learn new things by just having a session chatting and engaging.
As someone that struggles to read and take the info in, I wanted to help others and change their experience of both training courses and understanding health and safety.
When I started my H&S journey, the definitions baffled me as well as finding multiple words used for the same thing!! A big issue is feeling comfortable enough to ask what a word means, not understanding a technical jargon word can create barriers where we give up sorting something out so I want to break down the barriers and help you understand the jargon and hopefully get us all understanding what we need to do.
